Alan Roberts - Certified Hellerwork Practitioner

As a teenager I wondered how to be more physically free, skilful and powerful, and also how to maintain and even grow those qualities as I aged. These questions (and a healthy helping of youthful romanticism) led me to serving a traditional apprenticeship in Aikido in Japan and a life-long involvement in martial arts. I’ve grown immensely through this study but the rigours of martial arts study are not for everyone. However, I believe we all want to live to our best in our bodies.

Hellerwork Structural Integration, with its combination of myofascial bodywork and movement education, along with its recognition of the intimate link between body and mind are an ideal vehicle to assist people in their own search for more skill, grace and freedom.

Since graduating as a Certified Hellerwork Practitioner in 1999 I have had the privilege of assisting many people to overcome physical hurdles and live more fully to their potential. My clients range from teens to octogenarians, from office workers to elite athletes and dancers.

I continue to develop my professional skills and knowledge, being a member of the Hellerwork Association of New Zealand.

After more than 20 years in practice I continue to be excited by the possibilities of Hellerwork Structural Integration and would love to share them with you.
